Our team is a mix of filmmakers, savvy engineers, marketers and entrepreneurs all with a singular desire to simplify the world of video. Led by founders Jen Grogono and Josh Marshall, the team is dedicated to product excellence, technical innovation, and always going above and beyond to ensure total customer success.
JEN GROGONO
As chief executive officer of uStudio, Jen leads the company's vision and strategy for its patent-pending virtual studio and cloud-based video management platform. Prior to uStudio, Jen co-founded On Networks, where she served as chief content officer and president, pioneering new forms of digital video programming for any-screen, any-device distribution, while partnering with blue-chip brands, marketing agencies and a virtual team of worldwide content creators. Early in her career, she spent 15+ years creating and implementing strategic marketing and integrated communications programs across a range of technology, consumer and public service organizations. A cum laude graduate of Boston College, Jen is a frequent speaker at industry events related to the intersection of media, marketing and technology such as SXSW, Digital Hollywood, and OMMA. Her early work in digital media has been recognized through industry awards and features in business publications like the New York Times, Fortune, and Wall Street Journal.
JOSH MARSHALL
As co-founder and VP engineering at uStudio, Josh leads a talented team of engineers responsible for building and maintaining uStudio’s patent-pending platform and application. He is responsible for uStudio's unique architecture and UX, as well as the company's disciplined API-based approach to solving distributed video management challenges. Prior to uStudio, Josh served in various software development leadership roles focused on efficient video creation and delivery workflows. He is a graduate of Baylor University, where he received a bachelors and a masters in the area of Film and Digital Media technology. Josh is also active in the Austin developer scene, serving as an organizer of the Austin Web Python group (http://austinpython.org/) and as a speaker at the PyTexas conference. What most people don't know is that Josh is a very talented cartoonist, http://ponderingtheobvious.com.
