Use Video to Make Corporate Messages More Entertaining

I know sometimes corporate communications managers feel like marketers get to have all the fun with video, but I am here to say, it doesn’t have to be that way. Lots of corporate messages are, well, boring. But that doesn’t mean the way you tell it has to be boring.

The video below is a great example of how you can take a rather mundane announcement and make it an entertaining story. It also proves you don't always have to come up with your own completely unique idea for a video - heck, no one has had a unique idea in Hollywood for years! Spoofing a successful viral video can make the content even more relatable. (Full disclosure, that tall drink of water with the heavenly blue eyes happens to be my husband.)

Had the corp comms team just sent a media release or posted an announcement that changes were coming to the website, probably not much attention would have been paid. As of this writing, the video has had 1,256 views on YouTube, 216 likes on Facebook and 46 Facebook shares.
