Here at uStudio, we listen to a lot of podcasts. With more and more content being released each day it can be hard to decide what to start listening to next. If you are looking for something new and exciting to add to your queue, check out what members of the uStudio team consider to be their favorite podcasts right now:
Jen Grogono, Founder & CEO
"My favorite podcast is The Tim Ferriss Show because Tim is a terrific interviewer. He is unapologetically himself and each episode is full of authentic and witty conversation. Sometimes when listening, I think - did he really just say that?"
Michael Nels, VP of Engineering
"My favorite podcast is Timesuck with Dan Cummins. It is a potty-mouthed cult focused on digging into interesting topics and using critical thinking... something that is in short supply these days."
Neil Garrett, VP of Marketing
"My favorite podcast right now is Recode Decode with Kara Swisher. She is incredibly interesting and a terrific interviewer. Her years of experience in Silicon Valley and her take-no-mess attitude provides a really great environment for her to interview many of the most influential people in the world. She has a really great perspective and is a lot of fun to listen to."
Wanda Brodeur, Executive Assistant & Office Manager
"My favorite podcast is The School of Greatness with Lewis Howes. He always interviews very interesting people and discusses how they found and achieved success in their lives. It reminds me that success is different for everyone."
Zoe Bell, Content Marketing Manager
"Currently, I love The Anthropocene Reviewed. The host John Green reviews miscellaneous objects on a 5 star scale. I find myself guessing how he will rate each topic before the episode is over. I always learn something new during my listen and it gives me a new way to look at everyday items."
Tyler Cook, Senior Software Engineer
"The Rebel FM has been my favorite podcast for years. The core group has been producing this podcast for more than 10 years now and somehow they still come together weekly to discuss their lives and current events within the video game industry. I enjoy it so much. Their topics range from what games they have been playing to modern social problems that everyone deals with. It's comforting and entertaining all at the same time."
Tim Jensen, Senior Developer
"My current favorite is Politics Politics Politics. It features a comical look at the current political landscape and the upcoming 2020 election. It doesn't attempt to reassure listeners that things will change anytime soon but it always makes me laugh."
Suzanne Davey, Director of Professional Services
"I have three favorite podcasts right now.
For fun, my favorite podcast is NPR's "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me." It keeps me informed on current events but does so in a fun way with some interesting guests in the middle. I typically play it while cooking breakfast on my weekends which could be part of the reason I like it so much. I went to see them when they were in Austin and my grandmother made fun of me for seeing a radio show in person during this day and age.
As a Product Manager, my favorite podcast is The Verge's "Why'd you Push that Button?" which explores how technology impacts our social life. One of the episodes that stood out to me covered how having a "green bubble" on text has affected people's opinions of others and Apple's decision to implement that.
For workplace trends and leadership, my favorite podcast is HBRs "IdeaCast." It has a lot of good tips and studies on how to build good culture and best practices within the workplace. There are some really interesting speakers and insights that anyone can use to help make their workplace better."
